🍊Create a 10-year plan.
Your move should fit into a greater career vision.
🍊Research the cities.
Talk to people who live there, utilize helpful websites like Quora & Reddit.
🍊Identify your Unique Selling Proposition (USP).
This could be the language you speak, the home country market you are familiar with - something that makes you stand out from local candidates.
🍊Build a network.
Kevin didn't know anyone in China, but he describes in detail how he was able to connect with many professionals there 2 years before he was ready to leave his job.
🍊Be specific about the opportunity you seek.
Once he was ready to move, he asked his network if they could connect him to specific opportunities. This made it easy for people to help him!
